A Behind-the-Scenes Take on my Weekly Blessings

Early this year, I started to offer what I call “weekly blessings” – i.e. a formal blessing ceremony, once a week, in which I bless everybody who requested it for this particular week.

I have to admit that the blessing anouncements which I put up each week are a bit short on background info. This is partly because they are long enough as they are, and partly because I wanted to find my footing first and settle into a proven structure, before I start talking about details.

However, some of the regulars have expressed interest in background info. In a recent essay, I’ve talked about how to change bad habits and other things you want to change in your life. One method I mentioned in particular was Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also called “tapping” (for reasons which will become obvious soon).

When I was a kid, I found it quite weird how all these “older” people wished each other good health on every possible (and impossible) occasion.

Birthday wishes? “Happy Birthday, and most importantly: may your next year be healthy”. New Year? “A happy and healthy new year!”. I mean, what was the big deal about that? Were they all afraid to catch a cold?

Now that I’m a bit older (not old, mind you, just a bit older!), I can all of a sudden relate to these well-wishes. (Very surprisingly, I know – but I’ve not just gotten a bit older, but maybe also a bit wiser… 😉 )

Our health is one of the most important assets we have. It’s an important basis for our well-being, our productivity, it can be an indicator of what we can and can’t do, and for quite a few people it’s also an important foundation for their happiness and love of life.

That’s not to say that you can’t be productive or you can’t be happy if you aren’t fully healthy – quite the contrary! But being limited in one’s mobility, or in what one can eat, or being in pain are challenges. They can be overcome, sure, but it’s for good reason that most people would rather be healthy than sick.

MOE Healer Attunement on Sunday, February 18th 2024

I am going to offer a Healer attunement for the Modern Order of Essenes on Sunday, 18th of February 2024, at 6pm German time (i.e. EST+6).

The attunement is open to everybody who has studied all the MOE material for the Healer grade, practices regularly, has received the Apprentice attunement, and fulfills the requirements. Note that you need to practice certain things daily for at least a week beforehand, so make sure to study the requirements well in advance! Turtles All the Way Down

Most of us have some areas in our lives where we could do with some “improvement”.

Bad habits, destructive thought patterns, and unwelcome emotions are a constant companion of most people.

Fotunately, there is a huge selection of self-help systems available, in all conceivable forms and manners, with the explicit aim to help us change our habits and behaviour.

Unfortunately, most of them don’t work – and if you don’t believe me, just take a good, hard look at yourself and your surroundings. 😉

(And if you are one of the people who happen to have gotten good results from any one self-help tool, and now think that this tool has to be the be-all and end-all for everybody, I’d strongly encourage you to take a second good, long, hard, look at the world around you.)

Now, I’m not saying that all the methods in these books never work at all. But the ones that work, that help people change their habits and behavior patterns, do so under specific circumstances, or only for a limited number of people.

One might be tempted to think that certain preconditions need to be met, that people would have to reach a certain state by other means, in order for the self-help tools to produce any real and lasting improvements…

MOE Master Attunement on Sunday, February 4th 2024

I am going to offer a Master attunement for the Modern Order of Essenes on Sunday, 4th of February 2024, at 6pm German time (i.e. EST+6).

The attunement is open to everybody who has studied all the MOE material for the Master grade, practices regularly, has received the Apprentice and Healer attunements, and fulfills the requirements. Note that you need to practice certain things daily for at least a week beforehand, so make sure to study the requirements well in advance! MOE Apprentice Attunement on Saturday, December 9th 2023

I am going to offer an Apprentice attunement for the Modern Order of Essenes on Saturday, 9th of December 2023, at 6pm German time (i.e. EST+6).

Update: One person has already confirmed their participation, i.e. the attunement will definitely take place on that day and time.

The attunement is open to everybody who has studied all the MOE material for the Apprentice grade, practices regularly and fulfills the requirements.
