+++ This Blessing List is now closed. Please sign up here to receive blessings again next week. See you there! +++
Thanks to everybody who signed up this week – may these blessings bring you good things!
UPDATE: Email notifications are now available!
I’ve set up an email notification system. You can sign up below this post in order to be notified about future blessing posts, or read more about it here.
Once a week, on Wednesday, I bless everybody who has requested it for the current week.
The process is simple:
If you would like to be included in the blessings, leave a comment to the current blessing post by Tuesday at the latest.
I will perform the blessing ceremony at some point on Wednesday, and bless everybody who has left a comment by Tuesday.*
All times listed are in German time (i.e. EST+6, apart from the few weeks a year when the US switches to and from daylight savings at a different time than Germany). Please plan accordingly.
I will only bless people who have explicitly requested it in a comment to the current week’s blessing post. I.e. if you would like to be blessed again next week, you will need to comment again.
(To do that, you can come back at any point during the week. I put up the next Blessing List right when I close the preceding one, so you can sign up for the next blessing whenever it’s convenient for you.)
You can also request blessings for other people (or, for that matter, for pets, plants, …) – as long as you have their explicit consent, or you are their rightful “guardian” (e.g. parents for their underage kids; legal caretakers for people with dementia; owners of pets or gardens for their pets or gardens; …).
So… if you would like to receive my blessings this upcoming Wednesday, or if you have any questions, please leave a comment below!
You can use your real name, a nickname of your choice, or comment anonymously.
Please feel free to also share the link to the Blessing List with other people who are interested in being blessed. Everybody is welcome to sign up.
About the blessing itself: During the ceremony, I send a “generic” blessing to everybody on the list, which also includes intentions for health, protection, and divine guidance. I also respectfully ask for blessings from their respective deities during this general part of the cermony for those who have a relationship with a specific deity or deities.
(If you don’t feel comfortable sharing your personal religious beliefs on a public forum, there is no need to list them, as I will do this general part in any case. I trust that your personal deities will know who you are and will, hopefully, respond favourably to this general request. 🙂 If you do mention a specific deity or other divine being in your comment, I will add an extra request to this particular deity and ask them to bestow their blessings upon you, too.)
If there is anything in particular you’d like me to focus on, you can add that to your comment (in just a few words, please!). I will then include this intention specifically for you, but also keep you in the general blessing.**
And if you’d like to know more about the blessings first, you can read the behind-the-scenes-take or my thoughts about one year of blessings – but don’t forget to come back and sign up afterwards! 🙂
For those of you who’d also like to bless others and aren’t sure how to start, I’ve posted a practical guide: Blessing: How to Get Started in 9 Simple Steps.
One final note: I’ll do my best to approve comments in a timely manner, but I am not glued to my screen. It might occasionally take a day or two for your comment to be approved. Thanks for your patience!
* I’m not dogmatic about this deadline. The Tuesday cutoff is simply to make sure I see your request in time, and it will be included for sure. Any comments left after midnight on Tuesday (German time) might or might not be read before the blessing, and might or might not be included.
** I’m not a physician or other health professional. If you have any health issues you’d like me to include, I’m happy to add them – but please remember that a blessing by a random stranger on the internet does not replace a competent medical treatment. Just sayin’…
Natalia says
Hello Regine!
Could you please include me in next week’s blessings?
And if you can insert a special request to bring light to my present endeavours (if that makes any sense), I’d be grateful.
Thank you so much!
Natalia

Hi Natalia,
Gladly, and yep, that makes perfect sense! 🙂

Hi again,
And thanks a lot for reposting – if I have to keep track of requests in several places, some are bound to fall through the cracks…
I‘ll gladly include you next time! 🙂

Capn Kaymann says
Hi Regine,
I would love to be included in your blessings, in particular to get my ideal job with a good salary in Maui.
Also, I recently started a new business and would be thrilled to get any and all blessings for its success 🙂 Things are sorta looking positive in this direction, and if your blessings have helped this along, I assume another few weeks of these requests won’t hurt 🙂
Thank you (again)!
Cap'n Kaymann says
Hmm..
I was just re-reading your post for the Order of Modern Essenes course and am curious: If your blessings work and can be applied to anything, and if you chose to bless half of the attendees to learn extremely quickly, how many classes or weeks would it take to notice a marked difference in progress between those who were blessed and those who weren’t?
Feel free to just not post this if it isn’t the right place…but the imperial empiricist in me just feels compelled to turn over (and then tap out…) such ideas…
Regine says
Hi again,
I get where you’re coming from, but unfortunately, the question doesn’t make much sense. 😉
If the blessings were a material science thingy, we could measure them with material science tools, as e.g. controlled experiments. But they aren’t.
(If bridges were a spiritual faith thingy, we could build them with spiritual faith tools, as e.g. prayer, instead of structural analyis. But they aren’t.)
Thus, as you probably have guessed from my answer by now, I won’t conduct such an experiment, for two reasons:
1. It simply doesn’t make any sense, and wouldn’t give us any meaningful “results”. Scientific tools like controlled experimentation are absolutely wonderful tools – applied in scientific and material contexts. They aren’t well suited to other contexts, though (one of the reasons why the social “sciences” like psychology are having such a lousy time getting meaningful results from them…).
2. It’s my firm belief that these aren’t just life- and soulless blessing “energies” (like physcial energies, only we haven’t explored them enough yet to describe them scientifically), but that there are actual beings behind these blessings. Treating them like lab rats would be both incredibly rude and really stupid.
Thus my short answer is: Nice question, but nope. 🙂
And just in case you’re being tempted: I’d strongly advice you to not treat the blessings as science lab from your end either. Receive them and enjoy them, or leave it be – but don’t be rude and stupid with them.
Hope this clears things up! 🙂

Greetings and thanks from the Nickel, Regine! We’re back, as always, eager for more blessings. 🙂
We are all doing well; Shirleen is a little up and down energy-wise, but fairly content, as I understand it.
I enjoyed reading your comment to Capn Kaymann, and have a question, if you don’t mind. As a casual Reiki practitioner, it seems to me those energies are beings, too. I make it a point to practice Healing Hands in the morning, and if I’m going to try to send Reiki to someone, I do it in the evening. Or, at a minimum, a couple hours between methods. If this causes problems, I’m unaware of them. It would sadden me to have to “choose” between the methods. There’s an old Girl Scouts song that says “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other is gold.” What are your thoughts as someone who is much more experienced than I am?
Thanks as always for your generosity!
Valerie, Trevor, Shirleen, Vanessa, and Vicki
Regine says
Hi Valerie,
Very glad to hear you‘re all fine and well, or at least as well as circumstances allow. 🙂
That‘s a good question about Reiki. Unfortunately, I‘ve never practiced Reiki myself, and thus can‘t competently tell you what it does and how it works. It wouldn‘t surprise me at all if there were higher powers behind it, though.
As to potential problems or interferences, I‘m not the best person to ask, see above. (When it comes to Reiki, you’re definitely the more experienced person! 😉 ) But I‘d say as long as you don‘t experience any problems with your current approach, it should be fine.
Going by general principles, they both aren‘t methods which primarily work with your energy centers and etheric body, but with higher forces. That doesn‘t mean they couldn‘t clash in some way, but the chance of them clashing directly in your energy body seems to be a bit lower to me than e.g. if you‘d combine Tai Chi with Western kinds of energy work, which both directly work on your energy body. I hope this makes sense.
Not sure if this helps… 😀
Regine
PS: If you feel so inclined, I‘d love to read more about how you perceive Reiki vs. the MOE practices, any differences, similarities, anything that stands out to you in comparison, etc. Maybe in one of you next comments… 😉
Valerie says
Thank you so much for your response, Regine. Your comment about how these practices work with higher forces, rather than our “personal” bodies, is tremendously helpful. I’m no Reiki master (2nd level only) and my several years’ experience of Reiki is specific to Usui Reiki, which was originally received spontaneously by a Buddhist Japanese monk named Mikao Usui while in meditation over a century ago. It feels to me like a friendly, vast, being. Unlike Healing Hands, I feel it in my head, and from there through my hands. A sigil is memorized from one’s teacher to “activate” sending Reiki, perhaps similar to the symbols we draw on our palms for Healing Hands. The difference is this/these symbols are drawn in the air, over the photo or name of the person to which one hopes to send Reiki.
One of the beautiful things about Healing Hands is the directness. Draw the symbols, call upon one’s Deity, focus, and go. The signal that I’m done is not always clear, but I hope that will become obvious with practice. I give it my best guess. Another beautiful thing about Healing Hands is that the only charge is committing one’s time to practice. IMHO Reiki is perhaps less approachable due to the huge sums of money charged for initiations. Reiki I and II cost me about $500/each. I don’t regret it at all, but charging those fees restricts it to those who can pay. That bothers me. And it highlights what an amazing service you are doing in teaching and attuning others for no cost.
If you have time on your hands (I’m joking!) there is an interview on the old Thoth Hermes podcast (S7-E23) with Peter Mark Adams. He is a Usui Reiki master, as is his wife, and he talks about it more intelligently than I can. In fact, I think I’ll give it a re-listen…
(Before I forget: May I send you blessings this week?)
Thanks for your generosity!
Valerie
Regine says
Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation, that’s very interesting.
Hm. I wonder if/why nobody is teaching Reiki for free? Is it specifically not allowed?
I’m not that fond of audio stuff, and only very rarely listen to podcasts. But Thoth Hermes is usually a good one. I’ve made a note and we’ll see… 😉
Finally, thanks for offering, and yep, I’d appreciate your blessings very much this week,
Regine
Valerie says
I’ve wondered the same about if anyone is teaching Reiki for free. It really does seem to be the Wild West of healing practices: Usui Reiki, Sacred Fire Reiki, etc. People take the name “Reiki” and run with it. The Japanese-American woman who brought Usui Reiki to the West, via Hawaii in WW2, ultimately charged $10,000 for the Master initiation. It was the cost of a house at the time, and her take, as I understand it, is that Reiki was at least that valuable and required that much commitment. Regardless, charging for Usui Reiki (and the other practices that call themselves Reiki) and how much to charge remains a contentious issue. No doubt some people offer Reiki training/initiation for free. Maybe that is a word-of-mouth phenomenon.
Healing Hands training doesn’t require a conference room and the add-ons over several days – – – rather, people are given an outline of what’s expected, do what’s required on their own, and turn up for an attunement if they choose to follow through. Much cleaner, IMHO. And thank you again for making this an option for so many of us!
If you ever do listen to the podcast, please know that Mr. Adams and his teacher are clearly exceptional people. My experience and my teacher were dim reflections of his, but valuable all the same.
Regine says
Thanks for this.
I‘m torn about the money aspect. On the one hand, spiritual healing should be accessible to everybody, as the MOE is. On the other hand, people generally don‘t value things which don‘t cost them anything (mostly, but not always, measured in terms of money).
Thus charging a modest amount for the MOE (the course and/or the attunement) would make it much more likely that people actually follow through.
On the other hand, we‘re all adults. Since the MOE is free, everybody can try it out without regrets – and the folks who stick with it actually do so because they‘re convinced, and not because they already invested money into it. Which, in turn, might make them more likely to practice it long-term (and generally „better“ practitioners).
Then there is the issue that spiritual teachers also have to life off something. If courses are free, a teacher can only offer so and so many of them besides, or teach a much more limited amount of people, because they also have to earn money with something else.
There is no ideal way, methinks, as all of them have their pros and cons.
But some course prices I‘ve seen quoted for stuff in the „spiritual healing“ area (not just Reiki, but also other stuff) are simply outrageous. The cost of a house… Well. But I‘d wager the people who learned from her did take Reiki very seriously! 😀
Regine says
On second thought, since the name „Modern Order of Essenes“ is a bit lengthy and not very catchy and self-explaining, to put it mildly, I wonder if we should rename it into „Essene Reiki“. Maybe I should run that by JMG some time… 😉
(And nope, I‘m just kidding!!)
Valerie says
Essene Reiki! 😂
Good points all. No one size fits all solution, it seems. Just like so many other situations. 😯
Jeff says
Hi Regine,
Please send blessings my way for boosting the effects of my efforts towards increasing basic energy/strength and healing of chronic health issues. Or maybe just send blessings and “let the Gods sort it out”.
Whatever you feel is best.
My blessings to you and yours if you would.
