Thanks to everybody who signed up this week – may these blessings bring you good things!

Once a week, on Wednesday, I send blessings to everybody who has requested them for the current week.

The process is simple:

If you would like to be included in the blessings, leave a comment to the current blessing post by Tuesday at the latest.

I will perform the blessing ceremony at some point on Wednesday, and send blessings to everybody who has left a comment by Tuesday.*

All times listed are in German time (i.e. EST+6, apart from the few weeks a year when the US switches to and from daylight savings at a different time than Germany). Please plan accordingly.

I will only send blessings to the people who have explicitly requested them in a comment to the current week’s blessing post. I.e. if you would like to receive blessings again next week, you will need to comment again.

You can also request blessings for other people (or, for that matter, for pets, plants, …) – as long as you have their explicit consent, or you are their rightful “guardian” (e.g. parents for their underage kids; legal caretakers for people with dementia; owners of pets or gardens for their pets or gardens; …).

So… if you would like to receive my blessings this upcoming Wednesday, or if you have any questions, please leave a comment below!

You can use your real name, a nickname of your choice, or comment anonymously.

About the blessing itself: During the ceremony, I send a “generic” blessing to everybody on the list, which also includes intentions for health, protection, and divine guidance. For those who have a relationship with a specific deity or deities, I respectfully ask for blessings from their respective deities during this general part of the cermony, too.

(If you don’t feel comfortable sharing your personal religious beliefs on a public forum, there is no need to list them. I trust that your personal deities will know who you are and will, hopefully, respond favourably to this general request. šŸ™‚ )

If there is anything in particular you’d like me to focus on, you can add that to your comment (in just a few words, please!). I will then include this intention specifically for you, but also keep you in the general blessing.**

One final note: I’ll do my best to approve comments in a timely manner, but I am not glued to my screen. It might occasionally take a day or two for your comment to be approved. Thanks for your patience!

* I’m not dogmatic about this deadline. The Tuesday cutoff is simply to make sure I see your blessings in time, and they will be included for sure. Any comments left after midnight on Tuesday (German time) might or might not be read before the blessing, and might or might not be included.

** I’m not a physician or other health professional. If you have any health issues you’d like me to include, I’m happy to add them – but please remember that a blessing by a random stranger on the internet does not replace a competent medical treatment. Just sayin’…

  1. Hello Milkyway I would like to receive a blessing. Iā€™m pretty exhausted from supporting my ADHD/ASC son (23 yrs) fully fledge into adulthood and transition into a new job. Heā€™s quite chaotic and canā€™t do paperwork (online work more accurately) at all well. I donā€™t have a relationship with any particular deities. I hope this is enough/ the right thing kind of thing to say. Thank you!

      Thanks for signing up! Iā€˜ve put you both on the list. As you are a Catholic, I can just keep the blessings general, or I could specifically (and respectfully!) e.g. approach Mother Mary, or Christ, or any of the saints, and ask for their blessing as well. Of course, I cannot guarantee that they will grant them.

      Is their anybody in particular you have a good relationship with and would appreciate blessings from? Or anybody whose blessings might be most suitable to your current situation?

      If not, no worries – I always very generally ask that peopleā€˜s deities (whoever they might be) please bless them, too. šŸ™‚

  6. I am requesting a blessing for my health which suddenly deteriorated so that I am struggling to take care of my garden and animals. Bhu, the Goddess of the Earth, mentioned in the Rig Veda, is my deity, also Ganesha, the Elephant headed God. Thanks very much for your assistance.

  8. Hi Regine,
    I would like to request a blessing for myself, my cats and my home. More specifically, I would like to find a solution to my ongoing financial difficulties which are related to age and disability. I still work part-time, although I am in my seventies, but the pay is minimum wage, and it is not enough. My efforts at finding something better have so far not been successful. If there is a patron deity for old ladies, perhaps you put in a good word for me! Otherwise, your general blessing will be much appreciated.

      Iā€˜m sorry to hear about your situation. Iā€˜m not sure if there is a patron deity for old ladies šŸ˜‰ but Iā€˜ll send you a general blessing and also a blessing for your specific intention and situation.

      In my experience, these divine energies have power even if I donā€˜t call on specific gods – itā€˜s just that if somebody has a good relationship to a deity, getting an extra blessing from them certainly wonā€˜t hurt.

  11. My name is James Russell ā€œRustyā€ Broach, Iā€™d like to request a blessing for me and my household.

    Mother has surgery this coming Tuesday the twenty eighth with three to four months recovery.

    In addition we are having issues getting someone to finish our floors and the fence on our property.

    If it is okay with you, we’d like to become the Nickel (five pennies): My sisters, Vanessa and Vicki, would also appreciate general blessings. We all continue to be astounded and thankful for our mother’s good fortune.
    Shirleen continues to thrive. Staff are wondering why on earth she’s in hospice, and expect to transition her to a non-hospice visiting nurse within a month or so. She is welcome to remain where she is. How wonderful is that?
    I send her a card every week with a short message. She sends me one with an outline of her hand. It works well!

      I’m very glad to hear Shirleen is doing so well. So do I get this right: She can stay in this great place, but will be visited from a different nurse? That sounds like a good deal to me! šŸ™‚

      If you have some space on your card this week, please tell her I said hi, and that she has (obviously!) raised some great kids, which is something to be proud of! šŸ™‚

        Yes, you are right: Shirleen can stay right where she is, and be visited by a different nurse. We should know better which way the wind is blowing in June or July when she is officially reassessed.
        I will certainly relay your message on my next card. I only ever get a handprint from Shirleen in reply, but that’s quite eloquent all on its own.

  21. Regine, could you please send blessings to my mother, Nancy G. in SW Missouri, for continued healing and mobility? She’s been through brain surgery, Covid and viral meningitis all in less than a year and is having a slow and frustrating recovery.
