Welcome back to this twelfth and final unit of the Master grade! If you should be new to all this, and have no idea what I’m talking about, here’s the start of this MOE course with more information.
Well, folks – we made it. To the very end of this course, I mean! ๐
Today’s unit marks the final point of a journey which lasted 1.5 years (at least for me, as your mileage may vary…).
We’ll be spending this unit wrapping up some final open points, and with a retrospective on the Master grade. But if you made it to this point, today’s post should, first and foremost, be a reason to celebrate:
My heartfelt congratulations, and I hope you enjoyed the journey! ๐
I also hope you might consider taking one step further and becoming not just a Modern Order of Essenes Master, but an MOE Master Teacher!
I’m going to post more information about the Master Teacher soon, for those of you who might be interested.
But for now, let’s focus on this very last leg of our journey…
Coursework
- To Practice – Blessing Walk, Healing Hands, Foot and Hand Reflexology, Muscle Testing, Essene Healing Breath
Continue with the practices you’ve learned in the Candidate, Apprentice and Healer grades, ideally daily.
If you practice another form of meditation, e.g. discursive meditation (which you could use to meditate on the theoretical study texts of the Master grade ๐ ), you can use it instead of the Essene Healing Breath – the choice is yours.
- To Review – Master grade
While you do the work of this unit, review the material of the Master grade, i.e. Units 21 – 32 (all MOE Units can be found here).
- To Practice – Bridge of Love: Practice Ten
Study the instructions for Practice Ten of the Bridge of Love and practice the Bridge of Love daily while you work on this unit.
(Also see my comments below about the instructions and about Practice Ten in the Commentary.)
Online Version (only the section labelled “Practice Nine”)
PDF Version (page 19 and 20) - To Study/Practice – Astral Blessing Walk
Study the instructions for the Astral Blessing Walk, and practice it as you see fit (see Commentary below).
Online Version (only the section labelled “THE ESSENE ASTRAL BLESSING WALK”)
PDF Version (section “The Essene Astral Blessing Walk” on page 25) - To Practice – Healing Voice
Continue to activate the Essene Healing Voice daily, as introduced in Unit 29, and practice/use it as you see fit.
Online Version (only the section labelled “THE ESSENE HEALING VOICE”)
PDF Version (section “The Essene Healing Voice”, pages 23 bottom to 24 top) - To Practice – Ear Reflexology
Continue to practice Ear Reflexology, ideally daily, as explained in a previous unit.
Online Version (only the part from “Essene Ear Reflexology” down to “The rest of the outer ear is the outer portion.”.)
PDF Version (pages 26 and 27)
Reflection Question
While you do the work of this unit, take some time to reflect on the following question:
In which ways could the Modern Order of Essenes be a part of your life from here on?
Meditation Topics
For the Master grade, again, there is a lot of meditation fodder in the study texts. I’m not going to pull these topics out of the study texts for you, though – that’s up to you to chew on for yourself!
But if you should need fodder for your discursive meditations beyond what you have found in this unit’s texts, the following topics should give you something to work with:
- What has your work on the Master material taught you?
- How has your view on this material changed?
- How can you bless in the physical realm?
- How can you bless in the realm of life force?
- How can you bless in the realm of thoughts?
- How can you bless in the realm of emotions?
- What does it mean for you to become a Modern Order of Essenes Master?
- What does it mean for you to be a Modern Order of Essenes Master?
- What could the MOE contribute to your life?
- How has this course influenced you and your life?
And if you have enough ideas on your own and don’t need any from this list, that’s even better!
Commentary
Review of the Master grade
Your reivew of the Master grade should follow the same broad guidelines as your recent review of the Candidate and Apprentice grades.
Bridge of Love, Practice Ten: Spiritual Exorcism
As with some of the other sections we encountered in previous lessons, I’m having some issues with this one. In fact, if it had been up to me, I would not have included this one at all – I’m only covering it because it’s part of the material.
Let me quickly run through my main points of contention (although by now, you might be able to imagine what some of them will be). Then you’re free to deal with this section however you see fit! ๐
First, I very strongly disagree with this part: “You don’t need the permission of the person or entity attached to the addicted person. If you can obtain it, the permission of the addicted person is helpful, but it’s not mandatory. As healers we have permission from the Divine to set things right whenever another person or entity exerts its will over the will of another. Controlling another in this way is contrary to Divine Law and we have the right, and the obligation, to enforce Divine Law.”.
In short, I disagree. You don’t have the right to “heal” others from an addiction if they don’t want to be healed (it’d be pointless anyway, as chances are very high they’d simply turn around and go back to this or another addiction). Also, there might be a good reason for them to have this addiction, e.g. karmic – and it’s not up to you or to me to decide whether this has Divine approval or not…
There might be a somewhat grey area here in case of heavy-load demonic possessions (see below), but this isn’t something most of you will (or should) ever deal with anyway.
Of course, you have to figure out your own stance on healing ethics, and I can only state my point and give advice. Still, to me, this is a no-go.
Secondly, apart from issues like ethics, your own karma, the karma of the people involved, etc, there is also the very real danger that if you start presuming you know better than others whether they are possessed and whether they need “healing” by you, even potentially against their own will, that over time, this will turn you into a an arrogant, overbearing ass with an over-inflated ego.
And the more you are tempted to “heal” others even if you can’t get their permission, the greater this danger is.
Thankfully, this trap is easy to avoid: Just don’t do it! ๐
Thirdly, how would you even know that a person is possessed?
Some people have skills which allow (or compel) them to perceive such things.
If this is you, you might have to deal with such issues more often than the average person, and knowing how the Bridge of Love can be used in this way could be helpful to you at some point. I’d thus suggest you file it away for future reference. If you should never need this info, all the better (but please note and consider my first two points!).
If this isn’t you, no harm done, quite the contrary – your life might be a lot easier in some regards. But unless you can perceive whether there is such an entity attached to a person in the first place, any attempt to heal them by “separating” them from an imagined entity is like flying blind.
If you can reasonably assume that this is the case, e.g. because somebody approaches you asking for help, and they themselves make remarks like “it feels this isn’t me”, or “it’s like somebody else takes over, and then I light another cigarette” or similar things, you’ve got some strong indication (plus their consent). If not… well, see my points above.
(Although in any such cases where you aren’t sure about attachments, and given the consent of the affected person, a general Bridge of Love will most likely be a helpful tool. Just be careful trying to separate things as long as you aren’t even sure what there is to separate.)
Fourthly, as the text rightfully explains, our usual notion of “demonic possession” is strongly influenced by Hollywood movies and the like. But in a lot of cases, we’re not talking about a person being possessed by what the Christian church would call a “demon”, but rather by “milder” cases like non-corporeal entities leeching off somebody, e.g. in the case of an addiction.
To put it bluntly, serious exorcism is not a beginner’s game. It requires appropriate knowledge, tools and practice. Attempting to heal a serious case of demonic possession if you don’t know what you are doing is likely to get people hurt – potentially yourself.
Don’t do this unless you are appropriately qualified.
(And if you are, you won’t need me or this section of the material, and can simply incorporate a Bridge of Love into your work as you see fit.)
Seriously, folks: Please don’t get yourself or others hurt!
Fifthly, though, even for “minor” cases of demonic possession, like the equivalent of leeches e.g. in a smoking or porn addiction, the offending entity (or entities – you can’t automatically assume there is only one) has/have a will of their own.
The text stresses the need for self-protection, but imo it doesn’t stress it enough. I.e. even if somebody consents to you helping them heal in this way, it is paramount to protect both yourself and them from any harm and re-attachment.
Again, you need to know what you are doing, or people might get hurt – and this could well be you.
Sixthly, breaking an attachment of this sort is only the first step, and not necessarily the hardest one. The second step is to make sure people don’t fall back into old habits and addictions, with or without entity attached.
This requires their will and cooperation, but you can certainly (again with their consent) use MOE techniques to support them on this journey.
Seventhly, about this section: “The offended entity will usually be weakened by the process because the offending entity will draw all of energy it can as it departs.”
Be aware of this if you ever attempt such a spiritual exorcism. You need to know before hand if somebody can deal with this weakening and any other potential effects they might experience.
E.g. for somebody who is very frail, or a pregnant woman, etc, it might be wiser not to attempt a healing of this sort. In some situations, even (well-intentioned and, in theory, helpful and beneficial) healing can be damaging.
Eighthly, about this: “We won’t be called upon to use this technique until we’re ready and able to do so.”.
While it might be the case that we aren’t called upon to do so until we are ready, there might be the temptation to do it anyway (see also my second point above). If you practice techniques like this one, you need to have your ego in check, at least enough to make decisions which aren’t based on your ego, but on what is best for everybody involved.
So. As I said, I probably wouldn’t have included this section at all, or at least not in this form. Still, somebody else made a different judgement call, and for all I know, they might have been right to put it into the MOE text, and I might be misguided in omitting it.
Thus, by all means: If you need this section at any point in your journey, you know where to find it – but please keep my caveats in mind and consider them seriously…
Astral Blessing Walk
The astral plane of existence, for those of you who are not familiar with the term, is the plane of emotions and thoughts. If you daydream, for example, it happens on the astral plane.
There are different techniques to work with and on the astral plane. One of them is sometimes called “scrying” (not to be confused with another technique also called scrying, which is the art of clairvoyance by e.g. looking into a mirror). It’s a way of deliberately visiting specific places on this astral plane.
All of this is based on the concept that the astral plane exists independently of yourself, btw. I.e. we’re not just talking about your own emotions and thoughts here, but about collective thoughts, about those of other beings (not just human beings), about emotions and other things existing independently of you.
Thus when the text speaks of a Blessing Walk on the astral plane here, the idea is not for you to examine your own thoughts or emotions (although you’re certainly welcome to do so at any time!). Instead, the idea is for you to “walk” out into this wide and varied plane in which a lot of different things exist, and in which you might also encounter other beings, strange and unfamiliar things, and much more.
If you should be familiar with techniques like scrying which allow you to consciously enter the astral plane, you can use them to perform such Blessing Walks there. In this case, my suggestion would be to enter (with whatever your proven and trusted technique for this is) a part of the astral plane where you know you’re welcome and where you are feeling relaxed and comfortable, to perform such an astral Blessing Walk for a few times, and let things develop from there.
If you should not be familiar with any such techniques, my suggestion would be to take the route of daydreaming. If you daydream regularly, you might have a favourite spot in your daydreams in which you could perform Blessing Walks.
If not, dream up a scene in which you feel comfortable, safe and relaxed. Make it as vivid as you can. You can spend a few times exploring it and getting familiar with it. Once you feel ready, simply imagine doing a Blessing Walk in this scenery. Try this a few times, and see what happens! ๐
In any case, this isn’t something which should be pushed or rushed. If at all possible, give the Astral Blessing Walk a try while you work on this unit, ideally more than once. If you should realize that it’s not for you right now, that’s perfectly fine. You can come back to it at any point later.
Some Final Words…
We’ve reached the last few paragraphs of this course, and there isn’t that much left to say – I’ve written quite a lot in the Commentary to all the units, in fact (more than I initially anticipated), and I hope it has been helpful.
If you should have any questions, you know how to use a comment section. ๐
Other than that, this has been an interesting journey – not just, presumably, for you, but also for me! Teaching the material in this way has made me view it with a fresh eye, but also from a different perspective, which was quite interesting and has broadened my own view of the MOE as well.
I hope that the Modern Order of Essenes has broadened your view, too. And if you have followed along with any seriousness at all, it might also have induced quite a few changes and other things in yourself and in your life.
If you’re so inclined please feel free to share some of your experiences in the comment section, and to use it to reminisce to your heart’s content. You most definitely deserve it (and a big pat on the back) after all the work you put into this tradition and its practices! ๐
How you can (or should) incorporate the MOE into your life in the future, which things to practice, how to proceed… well, this is entirely up to you.
I certainly hope you will continue to make good use of it, in one way or another. But we’re all different, and we have different needs and wants in life. By finishing with this unit and getting attuned, you will have become an MOE Master – and as Master, you set your own schedule, and you will also be free to experiment with this material as you see fit.
I do hope some of you will consider becoming a Master Teacher, and thus be qualified and authorized to pass this wonderful tradition on to others. There will be another post where I will discuss more details about this path, so please stay tuned for that! ๐
So. Folks, this is it – we’re at the very end. I hope you have enjoyed this course, and that the Modern Order of Essenes will, in one way or another, continue to contribute to your life.
Until then, I hope to “see” some of you in the upcoming Master attunements, and I wish you all the best on this journey. May the Modern Order of Essenes continue to bear fruit for you!
Outlook
While we’re at the end of the course, there are still some things to look forward to! ๐
For starters, in two weeks (on Sunday June 28th, 2026) I’m going to post some preparational information for the upcoming Master attunements.
Until then, I’m looking forward to your comments and your feedback, and I hope you enjoy this unit of the Master grade! ๐
