Welcome back to this tenth unit of the Master grade! If you should be new to all this, and have no idea what I’m talking about, here’s the start of this MOE course with more information.
We’re walking towards the end of this MOE course with seven-league boots, it seems. ๐ Today’s post covers the third-to-last unit in the Master grade, and thus the third-to-last unit altogether – although there will be some more course-related posts with regards to the details of the Master attunement.
(Sidenote: In a few days, I’m also going to publish a post related to attunement needs and to any questions you’d like to see answered about the MOE, so please stay tuned for this. It will, as usual, also be announced via the mailing list.)
As the end is near, so to speak, today’s Unit 30 doesn’t just cover some more material of the Master grade (nothing earth-shatteringly new this time, though, i.e. a good chance for you to catch up with leftovers from the past units…), but also introduces some retrospective view on the Modern Order of Essenes Work you have done so far…
Coursework
- To Practice – Blessing Walk, Healing Hands, Foot and Hand Reflexology, Muscle Testing, Essene Healing Breath
Continue with the practices you’ve learned in the Candidate, Apprentice and Healer grades, ideally daily.
If you practice another form of meditation, e.g. discursive meditation (which you could use to meditate on the theoretical study texts of the Master grade ๐ ), you can use it instead of the Essene Healing Breath – the choice is yours.
- To Study – The Spiritual Complexes
Study the section “The Spiritual Complexes” of the Advanced Lessons, and/or use it as basis for your discursive meditation. As always, you are not supposed to blindly believe this text as gospel, but instead to study it thoroughly, contemplate it, and to come up with your own ideas and thoughts about it.
Online Version (only section “The Spiritual Complexes”, i.e. the lower part of the post)
PDF Version (pages 34-37) - To Review – Candidate and Apprentice grades
While you do the work of this unit, review the material of the Candidate and Apprentice grades, i.e. Units 1 – 12 (all MOE Units can be found here). More detailed instructions on this review can be found in the Commentary below.
- To Practice – Bridge of Love: Practice Eight
Study the instructions for Practice Eight of the Bridge of Love and practice the Bridge of Love daily while you work on this unit.
(Also see my comments below about the instructions and about Practice Eight in general.)
Online Version (only the section labelled “Practice Eight”)
PDF Version (page 15 and 16) - To Study – Healing Touch
Study the instructions for the Essene Healing Touch.
Online Version (only the section labelled “THE ESSENE HEALING TOUCH”)
PDF Version (section “The Essene Healing Voice”, pages 23 bottom to 24 top) - To Practice – Healing Voice
Continue to activate the Essene Healing Voice daily, as introduced in Unit 29, and practice/use it as you see fit.
Online Version (only the section labelled “THE ESSENE HEALING VOICE”)
PDF Version (section “The Essene Healing Voice”, pages 23 bottom to 24 top) - To Practice – Ear Reflexology
Continue to practice Ear Reflexology, ideally daily, as explained in a previous unit.
Online Version (only the part from “Essene Ear Reflexology” down to “The rest of the outer ear is the outer portion.”.)
PDF Version (pages 26 and 27)
Reflection Question
While you do the work of this unit, take some time to reflect on the following question:
How has your perspective on the Modern Order of Essenes changed throughout this course?
Meditation Topics
For the Master grade, again, there is a lot of meditation fodder in the study texts. I’m not going to pull these topics out of the study texts for you, though – that’s up to you to chew on for yourself!
But if you should need fodder for your discursive meditations beyond what you have found in this unit’s texts, the following topics should give you something to work with:
- What has your work on the Candidate and Apprentice material taught you?
- How has your view on this material changed?
- What is the purpose of a review?
- What is a Healing Touch?
- How can touch help in healing?
- How can touch hinder in healing?
- How can healing transcend the boundaries between the incarnate and the disincarnate world?
- As a Master, will you be obliged to heal? And if so, whom, when or how?
- What is the role of the spiritual in healing?
- What is the role of the spiritual in being not healthy?
And if you have enough ideas on your own and don’t need any from this list, that’s even better!
Commentary
Review of the Candidate and Apprentice grade
While you do the work of this unit, you are supposed to review the material of the Candidate and Apprentice grades, i.e. of Units 1 – 12.
In order to do this, re-read the Candidate and Apprentice material to refresh your memory. Use this re-read to double-check your practices: Is there anything you might have misunderstood back then, for example? Or any small inaccuracies or mistakes which might have crept into your practice?
There might also have been things you skipped back then, or which didn’t get the attention they’d deserve. If so, make room and time now to focus on them.
You are also encouraged to contemplate how your understanding of and your view on the material has changed since you first worked through it. Or maybe there are any new things which you can take out of it now, and which you missed back then? Or things which have become more important during the course of your work?
You’re very welcome to expand and broaden the scope of this contemplation and reflection as you see fit. If this means you’ll need a bit longer to finish this unit, then so be it – but please don’t be tempted to use this review as an excuse not to move forward! ๐
Healing Touch
The Healing Touch isn’t an actual practice on its own, more of an addition to earlier instructions. Still, I’ve got a few things to add:
First, a smallish thing: It seems an attempt has been made to tighten the text in the enummeration a bit within the pdf version (in contrast to the online version). However, the pdf text then unhelpfully breaks off in the middle of a sentence… ๐ I think it’s still pretty clear what is meant, but if in doubt, consult the online version.
Secondly, in my experience, you don’t need to touch somebody in order to transmit healing energy. I.e. while the text suggests you can, it’s by no means required.
Thirdly, the issue about people potentially misconstruing touch doesn’t go away just because you now have more experience as an MOE healer than at the beginning… ๐ Thus please use common sense, and if you are in an environment or situation where this might be (or become) an issue, as a basic rule: don’t use touch (and don’t be tempted to “just this once”…).
Generally speaking, though, touching others during healing has its pros and cons. For example, touch can offer an additional level of connection, and can be soothing and calming, e.g. when treating pets or children. (I don’t recommend touching wild animals during treatments, for common sense reasons…)
On the other hand, touch directly connects your own energy body with the energy body of the other person. This can leads to all sorts of effects (on both sides) and to all sorts of interferences. For example, if you aren’t good at keeping up your own boundaries, you might end up sharing your own energy or picking up some of the other. In a setting where you focus on healing and on their particular health issues, this isn’t necessarily advisable, to put it mildly.
So in essence, there is nothing wrong with touching others during healing (done in a professional manner, of course), but you might be well advised not to do it anyway – both for legal etc reasons, and also to avoid unwanted energy transfers. And remember that the MOE is not about transmitting your own healing energy, but about you being a conduit for Divine healing energies!
Bridge of Love, Practice Eight
From my point of view, the instructions Practice Eight of the Bridge of Love (BoL) require some comments, so here we go:
First, some practical stuff: The third paragraph (starting with “There are times…”) is phrased a bit confusingly in the online version. The pdf version attempts to correct this, succeeds at the beginning, only to then add some confusion itself through some of the corrections. ๐
What this paragraph attempts to describe is the case where a (disincarnate) human soul after death still needs to “do” some things related to the material level, e.g. forgive or let go, and thus needs healing – and that this soul reaches out to an (incarnate) Master of spiritual healing and asks them for assistance.
Secondly, about the ideas of life after death in these instructions: As usual, you aren’t required to believe them blindly. In fact, if your own religious or spiritual believes should be different, that’s fine (although it’s up to you how to console them with the teachings of the MOE).
Thirdly, as I have pointed out repeatedly in the Commentary, I do have issues with the idea that as an MOE Master, one has an “obligation” to assist. Instead of going over this again, please refer back to my earlier Commentary, and come up with your own point of view about this!
Fourthly, about disincarnate beings as helpers, guides, teachers, or sources of support: What doesn’t become clear from the text is that not all disincarnate beings are necessarily beneficial or helpful (or even knowledgeable about such things!).
I read the text as specifically referring to the ones who are. But please be aware of this, and use your common sense and the generally advisable level of caution when you encounter such disincarnate beings who claim to be willing and able to help you in your healing endeavours or to assist and teach you on your path. (If you are so inclined, prayer to the deity or deities you rever might also be in order in such cases.)
Finally, as to the last section, starting with “Every once in a while…”: Here “earthbound” person refers to humans which haven’t been able to fully leave this world after their death and stick around e.g. as ghosts.
This section teaches a specific method of helping such beings to move on. Note that I haven’t used this particular method and thus can’t comment on its effectiveness and safety. I.e. please (as usual, really) use it with common sense and the necessary level of caution, if you should ever come into a situation to use it. Also, keep in mind that such souls might be stuck for a reason, and might not be willing to leave.
Generally, I don’t recommend doing such advanced practices until you are well and ready for them – however long that takes! I.e. if you never practice this method, that’s fine, too. Also, you certainly don’t have to apply this technique before your Master attunement, in order to “prove” you are ready! On the other hand, if working with the spirits of the dead should be your calling, it might be worth exploring the methods of the MOE for this purpose, especially, but not only, the BoL.
The Spiritual Complexes
Finally, this unit’s study text about the Psychological Complexes…
There is a lot to contemplate within this study text – and probably not just about other people, but also with regards to yourself. ๐
I’m not going to go into details here, just two words of caution, and a piece of advice:
First, always remember that certain things require professional help or treatment. If you aren’t such a qualified professional, you don’t have any business playing one.
Secondly, I ask you to respect other people’s free will, just as you expect them to respect yours. No matter how well you mean, and no matter how much you know better than them, or have insights which would benefit them, or think you can nudge them into the “right” direction… don’t. Seriously.
It’s up to them what their contact with the Divine is, and how it looks like, and even if there is any at all. If they come to you asking for help, you can of course give it. But if not, don’t do anything against their will – or would you appreciate it if others did this to you?
And thirdly, you will get the most out of this text when you apply it to yourself and your own life first and foremost. It might be tempting to use it to classify other people, for example. And in fact, even on the first read, you might have examples popping up of the “atheists” and the “disgruntled”, the “traumatized” and the “loveless” people you know.
Try to resist the temptation, and focus on healing yourself – that’s the fastest path to becoming able to heal others…
Outlook
In two weeks (on Sunday May 31st, 2026) we will continue with Unit 31.
Until then, I’m looking forward to your comments and your feedback, and I hope you enjoy this unit of the Master grade! ๐
