Welcome back to this eigth unit of the Master grade! If you should be new to all this, and have no idea what I’m talking about, here’s the start of this MOE course with more information.
We’re well into the Master grade by now, and have left its halfway point well behind with Unit 8 (of twelve altogether in this grade). Amazing, isn’t it?
To celebrate the occasion, I’d love to know how many people are still participating at this point. Could you thus leave me a short comment below?
Your comment can of course be anonymous, if you prefer. And: It doesn’t matter to me when you reach this unit! It could be now, i.e. as of me publishing it, or much later. I’d simply love to know how many people make it this far in the course. Thanks! ๐
And on to the actual work… Today’s unit marks a decided shift in content and topics within the course.
So far, we have mainly focused on building up the Bridge of Love, and on studying and contemplating John Gilbert’s Tree of Life material. Both are now done, so to speak – although you will continue to practice the Bridge of Love, and we will continue to talk about some applications for it.
But the remaining units bring some new content which is more closely tied to the Modern Order of Essenes, and also some additional practices for you.
On we go, then! ๐
Coursework
- To Practice – Blessing Walk, Healing Hands, Foot and Hand Reflexology, Muscle Testing, Essene Healing Breath
Continue with the practices you’ve learned in the Candidate, Apprentice and Healer grades, ideally daily.
If you practice another form of meditation, e.g. discursive meditation (which you could use to meditate on the theoretical study texts of the Master grade ๐ ), you can use it instead of the Essene Healing Breath – the choice is yours.
- To Study – The Intellectual Complexes
Study the section “The Intellectual Complexes” of the Advanced Lessons, and/or use it as basis for your discursive meditation. As always, you are not supposed to blindly believe this text as gospel, but instead to study it thoroughly, contemplate it, and to come up with your own ideas and thoughts about it.
Online Version (only the section “The Intellectual Complexes” – anything from “The Psychological Complexes” downwards will be part of a later unit)
PDF Version (pages 28-30) - To Practice – Bridge of Love: Step Six
Study the instructions for Practice Six of the Bridge of Love and practice the Bridge of Love daily while you work on this unit.
Online Version (only the section labelled “Practice Six”)
PDF Version (page 13) - To Practice – Healing Breath of Love
Study the instructions for the Essene Healing Breath of Love and practice it daily while you work on this unit.
Online Version (only the section labelled “THE ESSENE HEALING BREATH OF LOVE”)
PDF Version (section “The Essene Healing Breath of Love”, pages 24 bottom to 25 top) - To Practice – Ear Reflexology
Continue to practice Ear Reflexology, ideally daily, as explained in a previous unit.
Online Version (only the part from “Essene Ear Reflexology” down to “The rest of the outer ear is the outer portion.”. The “Advanced Essene Healing Techniques” belong to later units.)
PDF Version (pages 26 and 27)
Reflection Question
While you do the work of this unit, take some time to reflect on the following question:
How has your perspective on yourself changed throughout this course?
Meditation Topics
For the Master grade, again, there is a lot of meditation fodder in the study texts. I’m not going to pull these topics out of the study texts for you, though – that’s up to you to chew on for yourself!
But if you should need fodder for your discursive meditations beyond what you have found in this unit’s texts, the following topics should give you something to work with:
- How does the element of Fire relate to healing?
- How does the element of Air relate to healing?
- How does the element of Water relate to healing?
- How does the element of Earth relate to healing?
- How do the different healing techniques you have learned throughout this course interact and relate to each other?
- What is acceptance?
- What is forgiveness?
- What is love?
- How can you breath (out or in) Divine energy and healing power?
- Which role does the intellect play in healing?
And if you have enough ideas on your own and don’t need any from this list, that’s even better!
Commentary
Bridge of Love Practice
Practice Six of the Bridge of Love is, to some extent, a recap of previous instructions and practices. But it also adds some other, subtle things to the Bridge of Love and is thus well worth studying and contemplating!
Note that your actual BoL practice doesn’t change in this unit, though (at least not in ways which are obvious from the outside… ๐ ).
Breath of Love
The general practice of the Breath of Love should by now be familiar to you, although the focus this time is on love (duh!) and not on acceptance or forgiveness.
Two things to note:
First, I advise against teaching others in the MOE practices at this stage. I’m convinced there is a very good reason the actual teaching of these valuable practices is restricted to Master Teachers – and nope, it’s not to make this club more exclusive! ๐
Quite the contrary: I’d be very happy if a lot of you went on, became Master Teachers, and taught this stuff to others. And in fact, while it’s a bit of extra work, it’s perfectly well doable if you set your mind to it!
Instead, the additional work to become a Master Teacher teaches some lessons which, in my opinion, are very worthwhile and important on this journey.
So this is just to say that I’d encourage you to file this portion of the text away for later, once you are a Master Teacher – and to take it as encouragement to actually pursue the Master Teacher grade! ๐
Secondly, I have some qualms about the statement “As an Essene Healer or Master Essene Healer we are challenged and encouraged to continue accepting, forgiving and loving every person, place, event, or thing in the creation unconditionally.”
I feel that there is a fine line to walk here, and it depends partially on semantics. E.g. accepting every person as they are does not mean to accept any behavior or actions by them! Likewise, we can forgive, but still expect some form of retribution. And so on – I think you get the idea.
I’d encourage you to mull over this statement for a bit, and try to come up with a healthy and productive view of your own with regards to it!
Advanced Lessons
The so-called Advanced Lessons of the Master grade start today with The Intellectual Complexes. I think they pretty much speak for themselves and thus won’t comment on their content.
One thing about practice, though: The style of these lessons should be very familiar to you from the Healer grade. And as back then, you are required to not just read and study these texts, but also to contemplate them, mull them over, do your best to apply them to yourself and your life, and (if you are so inclined) to use them as content for discursive meditation.
Also, as usual, you are not required to agree with them! All that is asked of you is that you grapple with them…
I hope you enjoy this return to the actual MOE material after our extended foray into the Tree of Life! ๐
Outlook
In two weeks (on Sunday May 3rd, 2026) we will continue with Unit 29.
Until then, I’m looking forward to your comments and your feedback, and I hope you enjoy this unit of the Master grade! ๐
