Welcome back to this fourth unit of the Master grade!
How have you found your first forays into the Bridge of Love?
This unit is a bit of a reprieve. There is more material about the Tree of Life, plus the next step of the Bridge of Love – and this is it. (Plus, of course, the continuation of your established practice.)
I hope you will enjoy this somewhat quieter unit! ๐
Coursework
- To Practice – Blessing Walk, Healing Hands, Foot and Hand Reflexology, Muscle Testing, Essene Healing Breath
Continue with the practices you’ve learned in the Candidate, Apprentice and Healer grades, ideally daily.
If you practice another form of meditation, e.g. discursive meditation (which you could use to meditate on the theoretical study texts of the Master grade ๐ ), you can use it instead of the Essene Healing Breath – the choice is yours.
- To Study – The Tree of Life, Part Four – Love, Power and Harmony
Study Part 4 of John Gilbert’s “The Tree of Life”, and/or use it as basis for your discursive meditation. As always, you are not supposed to blindly believe this text as gospel, but instead to study it thoroughly, contemplate it, and to come up with your own ideas and thoughts about it.
Note that the lessons on the Tree of Life are not included in the MOE pdf files, i.e. you will have to read them online, or print out/reformat the online version from JMG’s Dreamwidth site for your personal use:
Online Version (only part 4, i.e. the upper half)
- To Practice – Bridge of Love: Step Two
Study the instructions for Practice Two of the Bridge of Love. Connect them to the Tree of Life in any way you see fit.
Practice the first and second step of the Bridge of Love daily while you work on this unit.
Online Version (only the section labelled “Practice Two”)
PDF Version (page 8) - To Practice – Ear Reflexology
Continue to practice Ear Reflexology, ideally daily, as explained in a previous unit.
Online Version (only the part from “Essene Ear Reflexology” down to “The rest of the outer ear is the outer portion.”. The “Advanced Essene Healing Techniques” belong to later units.)
PDF Version (pages 26 and 27)
Reflection Question
While you do the work of this unit, take some time to reflect on the following question:
How has your perspective on life changed throughout this course?
Meditation Topics
For the Master grade, again, there is a lot of meditation fodder in the study texts. I’m not going to pull these topics out of the study texts for you, though – that’s up to you to chew on for yourself!
But if you should need fodder for your discursive meditations beyond what you have found in this unit’s texts, the following topics should give you something to work with:
- If you would start this MOE course from scratch again, what would you do differently?
- If you would start this MOE course from scratch again, what would you not do differently?
- When starting out, how did you expect this course to relate to your life?
- How does the course relate to your life?
- How could or might the course relate to your life?
- How would you want the course to relate to your life?
- How does your work on this course influence your life – and how does your life influence your work on this course?
- What would be better if you were a master?
- What would be worse if you were a master?
- What would be different if you were a master?
And if you have enough ideas on your own and don’t need any from this list, that’s even better!
Commentary
A few words about this and the next few units
As you might have noticed by now, the Master grade is settling into a rythm which is rather different from the rythm of the Healer grade (which was in turn different from the rythm of the Apprentice grade).
To some extent, this is due to the material itself, in two ways: First, the Master practices have a somewhat different vibe. There is less, but this “less” goes deeper and slower. The Master grade content simply has a different inherent rythm. And secondly, because there are less new techniques, there isn’t a flashy new thing happening in each unit, as there simply aren’t that many flashy new things to cover! ๐
But there is also another reason for the different rythm, which is, plain and simple, because I structured things this way.
I’ve been pondering the structure of the Master grade units for quite a while last year, and it would have been easy to cram things closer together, and thus end up with less, and potentially a lot less, units.
Somehow, though, this didn’t sit right with me.
I feel that certain things in this grade deserve some time to be studied, pondered, contemplated. And they deserve some time to be practiced, applied and used until they are somewhat familiar. Thus cramming everything into less units would have worked, but wouldn’t have had the same effects.
A tighter structure and timeline would also have meant somewhat more work in each unit.
But of course, besides learning and practicing new techniques and studying new material, you also have all the older, already established practices to continue. And since we all only have 24 hours a day…
On top of this, I feel that the a lot of people are in challenging times right now, for one way or another. Thus taking care of your everyday lives might take up more time and energy than usual. The challenges might be mounting up. Or you might simply be more tired.
(Or maybe not – in which case you got away lucky, and I hope you’re grateful for the break you got! ๐ )
Thus pushing too hard with the Master grade didn’t strike me as helpful – I wouldn’t want you to become needlessly overwhelmed, and I also wouldn’t want you to drop out because you feel you can’t follow along anyway!
Finally, and as cherry on the icing, it doesn’t hurt that spacing things out this way also makes putting together the course notes for each unit a bit easier for me, as I have less to do for each unit. ๐
So that’s why we’ll be leisurely ambling our way through the Master grade. Or at the very least, just judging by the amount of new material, it’ll appear to be a leisurely stroll…
Bridge of Love
I hope you have gotten along well with the Bridge of Love so far, as it will accompany us for quite a few more units. ๐
In the last unit, I’ve already commented on most of what there is to say about the first stages of the Bridge of Love.
The most important thing at this point is to practice. You’ll need to solidly establish this path in order to let the spiritual healing energies flow freely and productively later!
If you shouldn’t feel quite ready yet to move on to Practice 2, then continue with Practice 1 for a bit longer. Undue haste won’t get you very far, whereas taking the time to establish a solid foundation will get you very far!
Outlook
In two weeks (on Sunday March 8th, 2026) we will continue with Unit 25.
Until then, I’m looking forward to your comments and your feedback, and I hope you enjoy this unit of the Master grade! ๐
