I’m sorry to say there will be no essay this week.
Due to a major private commitment of the unavoidable and unpostponable kind, I’m rather more busy right now than usual. (That’s an understatement, in case you didn’t realize.)
Last night, I realized (or rather: I admitted to myself) two things: First, something has to give. And second, at least for this week, this something is going to be my regularly scheduled essay. For if I pushed through with it right now, it’d be to the detriment of both me and its quality.
And since both myself and the quality of my essays are precious to me, albeit for different reasons, this isn’t an option…
Thus I’m afraid I won’t be able to publish an essay today.
My (maybe somewhat ambitious) hope is to be back with the next essay in the series on Inner Fermentation in two weeks. Realistically, though, I might have to take a second weekend off – or worst case all of July.
Important: This only affects the essays! All the rest here on The Hidden Things, i.e. divinations, Weekly Blessings, and anything related to the Modern Order of Essenes, will continue as usual.
Either way, the essays will be back on track by August at the very latest.
I’m well and truly sorry about this, folks! But I’d much rather publish some good quality writing a bit later, instead of some half-assed stuff just so it’s on time…

Welcome back to this twelfth and final unit of the Master grade! If you should be new to all this, and have no idea what I’m talking about, here’s the start of this MOE course with more information.
Well, folks – we made it. To the very end of this course, I mean! 😀
Today’s unit marks the final point of a journey which lasted 1.5 years (at least for me, as your mileage may vary…).
We’ll be spending this unit wrapping up some final open points, and with a retrospective on the Master grade. But if you made it to this point, today’s post should, first and foremost, be a reason to celebrate:

I also hope you might consider taking one step further and becoming not just a Modern Order of Essenes Master, but an MOE Master Teacher!

Welcome back to this tenth installment in my essay series about fermentation – and what it has to offer you, both in edible and in non-edible ways…
In the last essay, we talked a lot about gases, and in particular about gases which are produced during fermentation and then have to go somewhere (lest your vessels might explode), hence the need for air locks of all sorts.
Today’s essay is a bit less explosive, but no less gaseous. It’s also somewhat smellier, at least in some places. And lo and behold, air locks will have another grand appearance, too!
